Anterior Isolation, HVE Suction, and Lip Retraction from Bicuspid to Bicuspid

Aerosol Reduction for Anterior Procedures

The Isolite Anterior Isolation System provides continuous, hands-free HVE suction throughout a procedure. The use of HVE suction has shown to help reduce droplets and aerosols from dental procedures up to 90% compared to using a saliva ejector or no HVE suction.

Dry Field, Increased Efficacy

Perform procedures efficiently on a dry field in the anterior region with superior HVE suction and retraction. This moisture reduction and isolation ensure that bonds dry more effectively and remain intact longer.

Superior Anterior Access

Achieve excellent visibility and access to the anterior region with lip, tongue, and cheek retraction. It is beneficial for the daily work of general dentists, prosthodontists, cosmetic dentists, hygienists and orthodontists.

Comfort and Convenience

Patients will be comfortable with the soft and flexible polymer Mouthpiece, which accommodates the upper and lower lip frenulum. Set the Mouthpiece quickly and start performing rapid, quality procedures on the anterior region.

Hear from Clinicians Like You Who Tested the Anterior Isolation System

We collaborated with over 30 clinical evaluators to develop the Isolite Anterior Isolation System

 Barry Freydberg, DDS
"Placing veneers and bonding can be tough on the lowers. With the Anterior, there is no fear of a squirt or flow of saliva contaminating them, a lip moving them, or an ability to ascertain they are seated properly prior to light-curing them."

Sheri B. Doniger, DDS
"It is essential as a hands-free suction for so many procedures, from anterior restorations to preventive procedures. This is definitely a great solution to the aerosol problem and an essential part of our practice moving forward."

For nearly 12 months, we worked closely with a group of clinical advisors to develop this new isolation system. They told us that they found the Isolite Anterior System and Mouthpiece helped them with the following procedures.

  • Veneer fit and placement
  • Implants
  • Orthodontic bonding and wire placement
  • Invisalign button placement
  • Enamel bonding or abrasion
  • Bleaching
  • Periodontal composite resin fillings

How the Isolite Anterior Isolation System Works

Connecting the System

There are 2 ways to attach your Anterior System to HVE Suction:

  1. Using an available HVE port
  2. Using a Y-adapter when an HVE port is unavailable

IMPORTANT Make sure your vacuum system is turned off before starting

Installation with an available HVE port

  1. Plug Isolite Anterior Isolation System onto the open port
Note: You may need a reducer cap for some A-dec models
  2. Holster the valve end of the hose in a convenient location on toolbar
  3. Turn on vacuum system and test

 Installation with a Y-adapter

  1. Remove HVE vacuum hose from port on vacuum canister
  2. Plug Y-Adapter Tube onto port
  3. Plug the HVE hose that you disconnected in Step 1 to one side of Y-Adapter
  4. Attach the Isolite Anterior Isolation System onto other side of Y-Adapter
  5. Holster the HVE valve end of the hose in a convenient location on toolbar
  6. Turn on vacuum system and test

Choosing a Mouthpiece Size

To select the correct Anterior Mouthpiece size, examine the patient’s arch. If the patient has a normal arch, choose a Medium mouthpiece. If the patient has a wide arch and/or a deep vestibule, choose a Large mouthpiece. The mouthpieces are specifically designed with the flexibility to expand to fit most patients.

Attach HVE Suction

First, attach the long side of the Isolite HVE Tip directly to the Isolite Anterior Isolation System. Second, attach the shorter side of the Isolite HVE Tip to the front of the Anterior Mouthpiece in the port that will be opposite to the treatment zone. Press firmly into place.

The suction tip can be attached to the mouthpiece before or after insertion of the mouthpiece into the patient’s mouth. The suction connection can also be changed to the other side during a procedure without removing the mouthpiece to provide optimal access as needed.
